1 Day 2 Gorgeous Cards

Yesterday I got two awesome cards! The first is a view of the Kremlin that I haven't seen previously. I really hope to visit Moscow someday. We went to St. Petersburg last summer. It was so different and cool.

The Kremlin at Night

The second card has two of my favorites - temples and a map! I was also very excited to get the shot of Mt Fuji. I haven't received any cards of that sacred mountain. Does anyone know are the snows melting/receding off it like then are on Mt Kilimanjaro?

The card features upper left - Pagoda of Kiyomizudera Temple; center - Kinkaku-ji Temple; right - Himeji-jo Castle. On the bottom left is Tea Ceremony in garden, Kyoto; then to the right Mt Fuji.

Mormon!

Today I got a postcard from someone who from my postcrossings profile assumed I was a Mormon! The judgement was based on my "perfect couple" profile picture and the fact that some of my favorite postcards are of "churches/temples". Then she went to my original blog and got the surprise of a lifetime!

Thanks for the laugh Amanda and for the great map card of Florida!

All the Pretty Houses

I wish I had a beautiful garden like the ones shown in this card from Germany. I'm so sick of snow and gloom here in Iowa. The sender tells me these are homes typical of Northern Germany.

Russian Masterpiece

I adore cards of churches. I find Russian church archietecture especially intriguing. I was very pleased to receive this wonderful card from Julia. It is the Church of the Intercession on the Nerl. It was built in 1165. The card says " it is a masterpiece of Vladimir-Suzdal, white stone architecture, one of the most perfect creations of the builders of Ancient Russian. This world famous church was built to commemorate Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky's victorious campaign against the Volga Bulgars.

Sanctuary of St Margaret

I got this lovely card from Riccardo. This is the Sanctuary of St Margaret located in Tuscany. He says many tourists visit this village to see the Church.

Breda, Netherlands

Today's mail also contained this multi view card from Breda, Netherlands.

Turin, Italy

I received this postcard today from Paola in Turin, Italy. I sent her a Bridges of Madison County card in return.
