Another Gem from Claudia

Ireland looks delightful! When I was a kid my family raised sheep which may be why I like this card so much!

Malta!

I sent a card to a Finnish woman married to a Maltese (which made me laugh because I hear Maltese and I think of a fluffy white dog). She was gracious enough to send me a Malta map card in return. Malta looks like a fantastic place to visit!

Multi view Madness!

Today's mail contained cards from:

Dublin, Ireland from Claudia. I send her Lighthouse cards and she sends me Irish cards.

Greece - I got this from Vicky V who will be sending me a Greek map card next (SCORE!) and

Scotland! This lovely little village was from a postcrosser. All in all it was a good mail day!

Indonesia!

Over the weekend while I was gone I received my first ever card from Indonesia! It is a temple of Boroduor in Central Java. The exact location is Yogakarta, Indonesia. I'd love to visit sometime but I doubt that it is very likely.

Festina, Iowa

This is a RPPC of "The World's Smallest Church" in Festina, IA. It's from my grandparents. They were married in 1937. It was a date day apparrently! My grandma has noted who went and the other places they visited. Donald and Melvin are my great uncles. Neva Mae is my great aunt. Kate is a predessor to My Aunt Alice! My own family has visited these sites many times!

I'm not sure what cascade springs is though. There are two springs in/near Decorah that could be it. I'll have to ask Uncle Melvin. At 93 he's still sharp as a tack. Sadly, my Aunt Neva Mae is pretty much out of it. The rest, sadly, are gone. I miss them very much! Except Kate - I have no idea who she was!

1 Day 2 Gorgeous Cards

Yesterday I got two awesome cards! The first is a view of the Kremlin that I haven't seen previously. I really hope to visit Moscow someday. We went to St. Petersburg last summer. It was so different and cool.

The Kremlin at Night

The second card has two of my favorites - temples and a map! I was also very excited to get the shot of Mt Fuji. I haven't received any cards of that sacred mountain. Does anyone know are the snows melting/receding off it like then are on Mt Kilimanjaro?

The card features upper left - Pagoda of Kiyomizudera Temple; center - Kinkaku-ji Temple; right - Himeji-jo Castle. On the bottom left is Tea Ceremony in garden, Kyoto; then to the right Mt Fuji.

Mormon!

Today I got a postcard from someone who from my postcrossings profile assumed I was a Mormon! The judgement was based on my "perfect couple" profile picture and the fact that some of my favorite postcards are of "churches/temples". Then she went to my original blog and got the surprise of a lifetime!

Thanks for the laugh Amanda and for the great map card of Florida!
